“In Search Of Sunrise” di quest’anno ha davvero riunito i pesi massimi della categoria tanto che il mensile Mixmag ha soprannominato l’intera saga “il Superbowl delle compilation mixate” e “la più grande serie di selezioni trance dell’epoca”. È Markus Schulz a consegnare a piene mani il suo mixato un po’ techno e un po’ progressivo pronto a sfociare nella trance e nel mondo della uplifting.
Dopo le puntate precedenti, che hanno coinvolto top dj come Giuseppe Ottaviani, Jerome Isma-Ae, Andy Moor, Kryder, Kyau & Albert e Gabriel & Dresden, il 2022 vede il dj di Miami e di origini tedesche all’opera, pronto a farsi affiancare dal connazionale Dennis Sheperd e dal francese Matt Fax. I tre dentro hanno infilato tracce di altrettanti super eroi del genere, come Above & Beyond & Mat Zo, Purple Haze, Ferry Corsten nelle vesti di Gouryella, Grum, Will Atkinson, Solarstone, Chicane, BT, Sunny Lax e una galassia di altri rinomati produttori musicali di tutto il suo spettro
“In Search of Sunrise 18” è uscito il 2 settembre e mette a nudo tutta quella esperienza di Markus Schulz che spinge subito con “When the Light Breaks in Sarmi” che suggella la collaborazione con Emma Hewitt per “Into My Arms”. Quando si tratta di nomi famosi, Schulz non si tira indietro e investe su nomi come Daxson, NOMADSignal, Mike EFEX e tanti altri, oltre che i remix curati da Down the Rabbit Hole per “Blueberry” di Probspot e “Circa-Forever” di Rapid Eye.
Matt Fax è invece l’outsider che fa della ricerca il suo punto di forza e infatti parte con “4:38 AM” rivedendo quindi un classico Gouryella. Suo il remix creato appositamente per Kamaya Painters di “Summerbreeze” e per Solarstone di “Island”, senza contare quello per “Let You Down” di Eco.
L’ultimo ricercatore dell’alba è Dennis Sheperd che crede in JES e “By My Side” e all’incontro con York e Iris per “The Fall”. C’è anche un rappresentante della nostra Italia in questa terza parte e si chiama Liuck, che con London Thor a Black Hole Recordings e al progetto ha consegnato il singolo “Until I See You Again”. Nella sua playlist non si è fatto mancare nulla, nemmeno “Ayahuasca” e “Signal” di Kudus di Sunny Lax e “Too Many Games” cantato da Diana Miro e realizzato da Tim van Werd. Il suo “Torture”, poi, interpretato da Mira Feder, è la ciliegina sul mix.
